First off. If any of you are wondering, I deleted almost every topic of mine to get rid of useless topics and to start new.

My request is if on the GE page, we could have an advertisement for a game made on GE, so it could be more hyped up and a good game or demo will get popularity it deserves. Each game is featured the whole week and one game is showed a week. How it works is a user makes a video of gameplay showing as much as iit can, gets 3 screenshots, a list of features, and 1-2 paragraph summary of it, and of course a link to where it can be downloaded at. Then they send it to whoever will be in charge of program, so they can put it on front page. I feel some games that are good don't get credited enough.

Well, these games you mention wouldn't get that much more, if any, popularity. Though the main site does get traffic, the featured games aren't looked at more than most other games. Anyone who makes a good game can put up a page on the wiki, add the game to the featured game, and therefore have a link on the main page. Also the method you are suggesting doesn't work extremely nicely with the current wiki main page format.

well, I am just curious how it would work. Besides, the person would have to make stuff himself, so Mak or whoever can edit GE site would barely have to do work. There has been a few demos or games that dont get the credit they deserve. I will do mod/administrator vote though before I make another false promise.

I like this idea. Now we have a featured games section, but not a best of week section.
If we have a nice page for the game in the site with screenshots, videos and info about the game, I think we can put the game on the front page, may be, in the location of the Game Editor video.

But what game will be there? I think this need a approval of the forum members, for example. The game needs to be good.

To make this work, we would need to re-cycle some of the older, more finished games more than once, (For example, the stuff on the featured games section). It would not be impossible for this community to make a new finished game every week, look at how much progress has been made already on the minecraft project!
I understand that this could be for demos as well, but, if this were a go, I know a lot of people would be more determined to polish up their games and finish them. (And when I say demos, I mean short examples. Most of the of completed games are in the demos section as well as the development section!)

First we need samples of how this would work. Well Mak do you want to make a quick sample with one of your demos to see how it would work.

Well some "full length" games already have these, so we can use them for the test. For example most of the iphone games already have screenshots, descriptions, and videos. If you want you can use Kid Krusader as it has all of the relevant pieces of information.

Polls, I believe arent good. I already have idea. When users send stuff to the editor he will check game out and decide which one he'll put on site.
