Put the gif in the data folder of your game.

What error message do you get?

Something like
Can't load project, (insert name).gif could not be found

Please be more descriptive with your problems in the future we are not mind readers (at least I'm not  )

image load error: 'couldn't open data/boost right.bmp' on 'data/boost right.bmp' file

You need to put boost right.bmp in your data folder. If that doesn't work take another bmp and rename it boost right and copy that in the data folder.
P.S. Each game has a separate data folder, be sure to put it in the right one.

Try that. It might be that the image is corrupt.

This problem may have been caused by the space in the filename. It's usually a good idea to avoid spaces in file names, use_an_underscore_instead.bmp

Not much help now I realize, but worth remembering for the future!
