Thinr Chubby Tank. Some questions about GE

I have a question about GE. When i use way from the tutorial Abuse2 for walking, i have some kind of bug. When i press left and right fast after eachother there is no switch in animation. So there is movement but the animation for backward (or forward depending on what you press) is not shown. I have the exact same problem in Abuse2 itself so it's not my code. Here is a snippet so you can see what i mean:

Chubby Tank preview(left, right and spacebar are implemented for this preview):

Thanx all in advance.

The problem happens when the left key is pressed while the right key is pressed too. So, when the right key is released, will fire the the action to stop the animation.
I think the solution is test the state of the left key, before execute the action of the right key.

@makslane
Thank you! That's probably it.

@arcreamer
No. I am "stealing" from arcade games. The essence of my game will be all kinds of known characters fighting the chubby tank (that it self had merely a little role in Metal Slug). I am now working on Street Fighter and Final Fight characters that will blow up. So i kinda animate a lot of new things to old animations. I am not rendering, i am drawing it by hand.

It's just a test project, since i only have a month to try it out. If it's good am purchasing it. I am a musician (however i did study computer engineering years ago) , i have made music for games. But i also made some record releases. I wanna make a game that is fast paced with cool music, by me :mrgreen: I just dunno what to use. There are also free game engines that i can use, but the feature to port to my GP2x is kinda kewl.
