And PPCs cant do rotation and resizing, let alone 3D!

It may be harder but i think many people here are willing to try to learn (like me), and i dont see why would that have anything to do with PPC-s or smartphones, if you are making a game for a PPC just don't use 3d use 2d graphics without rotation and thats it. I don't see why we shouldnt get 3d just because someone could accidentaly use a 3d object in a PPC game. You don't have to use it but some of us would like to.

3d

I realise that GE is a 2d program but we were talking about the possibily of implementing 3D in GE.

Nobody asks you to learn 3d, all the functions could be separate or Makslane could make a Game Editor 3d version, everybody who want's 2d could continue using it normaly and i dont see why those who want 3d shouldnt get it. It seems to me that you are afraid to try anything else if you say that its 1000000000000000000 harder, all good games require effort, im not saying that 3d is better i just want to have the possibility of making 3d games.
I like using GE and i want it to grow so i can make better games and i dont want it to be held back because of people who dont want to try anything.

BTW You should use GE a little before saying what it can or can't do, and what it is or what it should be.

i dont think makslane is up to that kind of challenge, and if he did it would make GE like $100 for the basic package

Game Editor 2D = 20$
Game Editor 3D = 100$ or something like it.

As for the chalange, thats up to Makslane to decide.

If you want to do 3d games, use game blender: http://www.blender.org

Well you can problably make games that are sort of 3d if you have the right images.I did but it's not fully 3d.Something like runescape or something like that.

I know a bunch of apps for 3D games, but that's not the point we were discusing is 3d right for GE.

Yeah. It would be too great if GE would support 3D formats. Not complicated like Blender. Just displaying the general appearence of a 3D model when an actor moves around it!

3DE feateares like the Super Nintendo woulnd requirer a LOT of coding, and it would suit me, the only prblem would be whit the z-depht and the interaction whit the sprites(in our case, actor :P)
