I wish Apple would allow you to develope apps easier on Windows/Linux :?

A bit off-topic, but does anyone know if any of the newer mac systems will work with an AMD processor on a VMware machine? I really want to test out my games, but Mac hardware is just too expensive... :(

EDIT: A number of interesting changes named "Rotation added" just went up in the GE CVS, hmmm, sounds interesting.
EDIT2: Ouch, looks like all the "rotation" commits to CVS were just un-committed, wonder what happened,

Dont worry. The next release will contain scale and rotation opengl powered. I changed a approach because Maks didnt
agree to my old approach. It was about having a variable or funtion for both. Function is faster because it doesnt need
to be parsed always.

This is VERY VERY good news to hear... I hope the other GE users know what was just stated there... rotation and scaling of actors/sprites in GE!!!! (and not the kind that requires draw to canvas and such AFAIK)

sounds juicy,

will the collision area of actors/sprites also scale appropriately? that would be awesome.

Yes. This is the goal. Just to be clear. The next upcoming release is the Apple support (1.4). For rotation and scaling we talk about the release after 1.4.

There is a problem with the iphone picture on the main game editor page. It has blocky cutlines on the upper borders, which makes it look less professional.

As this page is the first introduction for game editor to many newcomers, i think it's important that it looks tight, and high quality.
So i fixed it, in two ways: glow and shadow.

Will someone please replace the graphic with one of these? thanks!

Ok iam happy we will get to make iphone games but iam growing a little impatient with knowing what the price will be. Can we please get an estimated price or range please. Honestly I brought the game editor for $100 so I figured updates will be free but Iam informed that its not the case. So can I please have a price range thank you.

Hi, hopefully I'm posting this in the right place. I just got access to the beta, but I'm trying to run the Windows/OpenGL gameeditor.exe. Unfortunately, it immediately crashes when I launch the downloaded executable. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

Try use this executable (in the same folder where Game Editor is installed):
http://sourceforge.net/apps/trac/game-e ... Editor.exe

This is getting rather confusing, in order to get the geplayer on your ipod/phone you have to have xcode, which can only run on macs. Right? or am i not getting something here....

My ipod is jailbroken so i can SSH into it and i installed the app that way like this:

i opened my ipod with SSH and put the geplayer.app under applications and it shows up on my ipod as an app, but when i try to run it it just closes before showing anything, any ideas?

EIDT: Camper says i need to certificate it...how do i do that?
