music and sprites are easy- i got tons of em, but where the heck can you get sound effects?

specifically, i'm making a game patterned off the original mega man, what i need is sound effects for
firing a shot, enemies being destroyed, jumping, and all that good stuff- but nowhere have i found any decent (free) sound effects

any help? good sites? etc?

hmm, free sites with specific sounds are hard to find, i make most if my own.
you could try typing in "free game sound effects" into a search engine.
or even free megaman game sound effects.

How would you make your own sound effects? is there a special program you use?
