I just realised, this topic could be extreamaly useful, even for people who are not so new, it is pretty much summarizing up many other topics into one easy to read topic! Automail10, you're a genius!

I might even refer to this from time to time... i think, also,
to add a menu, just make a menu in windows paint and put it in your game, then do a destroy actor/keydown with enter or something, and make it destroy the menu.

Thanks Automail. Next Lesson.
Paths.
A path is a track the actors can follow, like if you want to make bad guys move.
1. Click paths on the toolbar, select add, enter the desired info.
2.Click any where in the work area, to make a starting point. This is where the path starts. Continue clicking in the work area to add way points, these are the points that make up the path, there should be a dotted line between 2 points, this shows how the actors are going to move. Right click a yellow point for some options, these will enhance the path, to make it strait, or curved. Or you can delete that point. Once the path is done, click close on the draw window. then close the paths window. Create an actor, then in the actor control, there should be a scroll bar that says paths, select your path go to game mode and watch it go!

the first actor in the game.
When you start a new game, the only premade actor in it is the veiw.
however, you cannot delete it or collison events or cloning or any other
multplying situation.

Tip - dont take one look at a code and give up. Although they may be intimidating, there are many people on this forum who will be willing to help. Dont be afraid to ask!
