collision problems

I made a collision event that keeps my actor from falling through the tops of the platforms he is standing on, but I noticed that if I set my jumping too high, when he lands he will fall through the floor.

What are the rules governing jumping and landing?

Also, I noticed that on some of the demos, the actors will cling to the walls like spider man if you continue to press a button in the direction of the walls. Is this intentional?

I am tring to correct the physics of my platform game before I move onto to the other things.

If velocity exceeds the thickness of the wall of platform, your actor may pass through it.

Limit the speed, or thicken the barrier. Its not a sure thing, but its the first thing to check. You can use a wirefram actor to simulate a thicker barrier.
