Terribly slow on windows mobile

Hi,
I purchased game editor a while back, and learned it, running test and sample games on the pc. I have just purchased a brand new HP Ipaq 116 classic, windows mobile 6, and am sad to say that games are terribly slow on the device. So I tested on a motoQ, and it is worse.
Games I exported for WinMobile are not mine, but rather the samples that came with game editor. 1945 runs impossibly slow. Others just hang and have not a "exit" option when requiring them to stop. They don“t even respond to taps as they respond to the mouse on a PC. I had to reset the devices to exit from those programs.

Is this program really suited for real games on a winmobile device? I checked GE versions and mine is the latest. Or does it need some driver or add on to the operating system of the handheld to work properly?

I have a winMobile2003 PocketPC myself. The game starts lagging as soon as the screen/major backgrounds perform significant moves. Checkers, for instance, doesn't lag at all. What I recommend is reducing the view movement to the minimum, avoid collision checks.

dear Kalladdolf

it is really hard to avoid collision checks if you want to create game and most of game they use it.
so in my oppinion it almost impossible that we create game with out collision.
But if you have another function replace than collision, please share to us.

for jdebrpy

1945 game also slow on my PPC also but because of that game not use active regions
another things it should be your PPC is slower than 400 mhz because speed of Pocket pc
also important for run game.

check my post on game optimization

Images must be really compressed and sliced
Collision does lag so you have to be careful. To begin with my game was VERY slow and now it is running at excellent speeds!

@Chai: Pyrometal has come up with pretty good collision system(s). Check out Game Over land (in the Game demo section).

ok i had that problem the better ur at coding the faster it becomes...try not to use too many paths during ur games cause that slow game down...and make the actors small so they fit too many large actors make game slow.here enjoy super mario touch pocket pc and blazing fast
