@Schnell Great job. I edited the code a bit to fit into the standard format. Your idea was pretty clever. Keep it up!

Name: Heromedel
Abilities: Experience working with programs such as Game Maker, Construct, and now learning Game Editor
Some experience making sprites and textures
Ideas for potential game(s): My main idea right now is that people like two things, fast paced action and then the ability to create and design.
I think the two can be merged by earning tools that allow you to destroy or build, by completing challenging levels first

I also would like to see/make a game in a style similar to Zelda: link to the past. But with a more sandbox gameplay and where you
don't gain rpg like stats (as in more hearts, ect) but rather the items you equip give you your abilities. By combining this
with the idea that no item can outclass, as in be a replica but better of another item. Then you setup what you can do by what
unique items you equip.

Links to game(s) or program(s) you have made: (if any)

Here is a link to a game I use to work on using Game Maker, its rough and still in alpha.

I just checked out tonight's build, and I hate to admit this but I have no idea how your monk game works. Like the monk actor just has a script that says monkcontrol() how does that make him walk and jump? and what do the blue and red boxs do? I couldn't even tell how the enemies were walking, I thought they were using a path but when I clicked paths up above it didn't show any.

Edit: It actualy looks to me link every actor is just calling functions, were are the functions though?

They are using global space to define functions. So all the code that they are using to make their actors move are written in global code. The monkcontrol function can be found by clicking the [Global Code] button and then [Choose]. That shows you what scripts have been written, and inside one of them is a function monkcontrol, where all of the movement code is held. Same thing is probably done for the enemies.

ahhh... I didn't see the choose button. Now I see all their scripts. Looks like you guys are a little more advanced then me when it comes to scripting in Game Editor.

Hey Heromedel,

Keys for the game so far are A and D to walk and Space to jump.

That is great that you want to join us, we can always use more people. Go to the game-editor.net chat room and talk to Sonic and/or Schnell so they can catch you up on what coding or art needs to be done.

Came across a slight glitch in the new build, not sure if you came across it yet. When you are standing on top of the platform and you jump again (as if you are jumping off) and clip the side of the edge of the platform you kind of "warp" back on the platform.

Other than that the new build is fantastic! :D

Not sure if I'll be on much tomorrow/Sunday, but hopefully either Monday or some time next week I'll have enough time to work on more graphics.

Not sure what you mean by warp but on the left side of the second hill there is something that pushes you back the way you came. That is on purpose.

@Phyzix: Just wondering. Why are you using seperate filled regions for collision? Wouldn't it be easier to just use clones? :?
