Dear akr;
Yes, if your iphone port engine is launched, I will immediately put on the apple store.
I believe that you can sell this iphone port engine as a commercial.
It will be very good sell.

The iphone engine will need the Xcode environment to deploy to iphone/appstore because of codesign. Would this be acceptable?

Yes, it is acceptable.
And I believe that all iphone developers have no choice to buy a Mac to deploy a game with Xcode and Iphone SDK.
I assume that for running an iphone port. It needs to be run on Mac.
Even " Torque", a famous game builder, you can create a game on PC.
But, when you want to port to iphone. You have to reload and run on Mac again.
Also, " Game Salad", another game builder, it needs to be run on Mac as well.
I just got Mac for running a game development.
The iphone SDK and Xcode?
Both file sizes are 2GB needed to be run on Mac.

Yes. You will need the iPhone SDK and being a registered apple developer. This is 99,-- a year.

Thank you very much.
If you want a beta tester, I would love to join too.

I am currently looking for testcases. Can anyone send me some good ones? Preferable a mobile game because of the screen dimensions. I will then help to bring your game to appstore.

What file are you looking for.
Is it game editor file?
The resolution for the Iphone screen is 320wx480h.

Yes. I also have a "editor" beta supporting the iphone resolution. So anything in a "mobile" resolution is interesting and can be easily adjusted to the iphone resolution. The beta also supports portrait and landscape mode.

I don't have anything as of now, but I'm working on something.
By the way, the way I understand it, you can't just export a game to the iPhone executable format, right? Or can you at least do that for testing purposes? Because that would be nicer for GE users who neither have a Mac or the iPhone SDK (such as me). Thanks.

There is no chance to deploy for iphone other than from a mac. Windows is no choice. Its time to think about. Pays off!!!

That's a shame. I really hoped I didn't have to spend all the money for a mac.

Ladies & Gents,
we made a big progress. A gameEngine for iPhone is now available and can be sent. Games will
be loaded from a defined location to iPhone.
So we are looking for beta testers. Send me your iPhone/iPad serial ID and you will get your own
gameEngine for testing for your iPhone. Let us also know if you want GE for windows or Mac.

Any chance this will run on Linux gameEditor? I personally don't have an iPhone or iPad so I can't directly test anything as of now.
