open GE.
click game mode.
click the red X to exit game mode.
click file
click save as

a) the incorrect pop up appears. It opens a folder rather than the file dialog.

click the red X to close the folder

click any of the GE menu items.

a) no effect with any clicks at all.
b) you cannot close GE without control-alt-delete

Error seen and duplicated twice in windows XP.

Can anyone test and confirm this? Thanks

I tried it by creating a new game (my current project had been open) and everything was fine, it was going to let me save the blank game...
Once I quit GE and restarted it and tried, once I clicked "save as" GE crashed back to destop... no error message or anything.

Correction, it didn't crash, it minimized itself, and then I could not do anything with it without ending the process through task manager...

I have had that happen many a time
*is sad*

So there is something funny going on there, even if its not identical on all machines. Ok.

haha i thought this was a game at first, but i havn't had this problem.

detours against this bug:

1st Press the Window Key (Ctrl+Esc works too)
2nd Click on your start bar
3rd Click on GE

this is how I stop this.

that is why I save every time I make a change(accually a few changes.)
that are not super small changes.

I thought that was only on Windows XP 64Bit.
