Sorry for not going through the forums to find this answer out but It's 5am and I wanna hit the sack How feasable would it be to create a 2D side scroller with rpg elements (lvling up, upgrading gear/weapons, learning new skills) I haven't even downloaded the trial yet but I would like to get a feel for what the community thought before I started. Also What kind of frame rate/animation quality can I achieve...can I get Earthworm Jim or Street Fighter 3 Lvl or is this program geared more towards shooters/cell phone style games. Thanks a bunch for any help you can offer.

GE can go up 512 fps, no more. This community is servent and helpfull.
To do those things, it would be possible but you just need a little knowlegde in ge script (dont worry it will come fast, like it did to me)

If you want to make a fairly complicated rpg-type game, I would suggest do lots of simpler things first, to get a general idea of how to use it properly.
For any help on doing things, rememer, others may have had similar problems, so search the forums, check the documentation, and if you can't find a solution, post them here. There are a lot of helpful people here, with a good range of knowlede on GE and scripting, and most of them will be glad to share that knowledge.
The good things about GE are that with little or no scripting knowledge, you can make a simple game, and with lots of knowledge, you have a lot of power to make complicated games. Also you learn the scripting as you go, and you get places to apply what you learn, so you remember, and can use it again.

don't worry ge can do about anything you need.plus you have this entire forum with alot of helpful people to answer your questions.like game a gogo,dillo dude,makslane,me,and alot more people.you'll learn alot about ge fast.

wat i'm trying to say is yes you can make all of those.street fighter 3,shooters,advnture,rpg,really about anything you can think of.

i am making an rpg right now and i was able to find how to make whit -->NO<-- bug when he move, i will soon release the demo for that.
