For all beginners/advanced players who want to draw a head which turns and are using paint, follow these teachings:
1. First paint the head, this too hard? Quit.
2. select the left/right half and make it 3 pixels wider (depends on size and quality of course)
3. select the right/left half and make it 3 pixels smaller (horizontal)
4. repeat step 2 and 3 but don't select the middle but the place where the middle of the face is (mostly the nose, except for a few persons)
5. This is the hardest step: you're done...
Unless all of you knew it, I wan't you to give me respectfull karma-points immedietly...

Will this evaluate in my GE School, well, only in animations, won't do much good cuz u don;t do anything with the head tutorial in Game Editor. U use paint.

Remember, This site isn't the place to lear AI codes cuz for some reason, nobody helps with e'm!

You mean nobody wants to create an AI for you? Then I think you'd better become better with coding in GE and then continue with that game and create an AI. I mean that if you don't make an AI you are not the creator of the game.

No, I mean there are only few people because nobody will teach people the codes. Improve on it or don't do it!

I think this forums gives quite good help even for those who don't check the documentation before asking questions. But only if the questions are specified well and like asking one or two or four things. It should not be surprise if people doesn't reply to a post: "somebody make me AI for dinosaur, make it a good one".

For AI like how do you make a basic AI Monster. They say looks stuff up before you enter the code.

Where do you go wrong with the jump? Do you know how to create a global variable--for example, the canjump variable used in this tutorial? This isn't the only tutorial on jumping in the forum. It might help to look at a few.
What code are you using?

Nobody helps with AI, there is no way anybody can learn about AI without anythng to teach them! How can anybody learn by sitting there humming a song?

Dear Segwego,
AI building is 90% personal creative and 10% coding. There is no AI code or AI events etc, it's just a simulation created by some smart variable playings and stuff.
So first learn how to use variables and then think how you could do a simple AI.
It's all about things like:
If dog collides with a bone -> dog bites bone.
When there is enough simple things like this working together, it gives you a sense of the object "thinking" itself.

when working with an AI, you have to keep this in mind:
- Code: Select all
Is something happening? if yes, Do something !
in other words...
- Code: Select all
if(Variable=10)
{
Xvelocity=10;
}
here is a small example that will make the enemy move towards the player, and shoot at a certain distance (NOTE: DO NOT USE THIS IN YOUR GAME, I very much doubt that you have the same animations and all, in fact, these are just invented lol. Use this to create to base your code)
- Code: Select all
if(distance(x,y,Player.x,Player.y)>=50)
{
if(x>Player.x)
{
x--;
}
else if(x<Player.x)
{
x++;
}
if(y>Player.y)
{
y--;
}
else if(y<Player.y)
{
y++;
}
}
else
{
CreateTimer("MyTimer",250); //When creating a timer in script, use the Variable/Function button! or else there will be parameters missing in your timer
}
and on the timer "MyTimer"
do this:
- Code: Select all
CreateActor("Bullet","Bullet","(none)", 0, 0, FALSE);//Should be something like this, as again, use the Variable/Function button for this one, not sure if it's all good
Hope this helped you :3
