I asked you for your graphic preferences, but I want to know your music preferences as well.

Midi and the other trackers are very small but ogg is a better quality.

actually, the tracker's quality are top notch, since they are same as they were created as. no down sampling or whatever, only if the creator has done so

One thing's for sure, DON'TYA EVER USE WAV FOR BACKGROUND MUSIC!
I mean, I once did it (when I had no idea) and a very small game (like jazzy's GE rally) became about 72 MB big.

I use Impulse Tracker (IT) for my music with GE because it loops perfectly and takes little space. WAV for sound effects.

I use IT and/or MOD for music, mainly because they are tiny files, use little memory and provide fantastic quality consistent across multiple systems (whereas midi may sound different on one device from another). Wave files for music are generally far too big and I develop only for PPC. I do use wave files for all sound effects though, and I use an editor to trim and improve them, you’d be surprised how much dead space there often is at the beginning and end of a sample that can be trimmed to bring those sizes right down!

Imho, wav is only good as mentioned above for sound effects.
