don't you guys get mad when you writte 300 lines of code and in the other day you find out that everything could be done in 5 lines with a specific code fot that?

even better, when sometimes you loose 2 nights of sleeping, thinking in a way of making your program work, to have the light of an idea, just looking at that | glowing in the screen and in the other day when you wake up the idea just pop in you head...

programing is so...random. Sometimes you have great ideas when you are not even thinking about your program but when you have the time and the right place no matter how you spank your brain, the ideas wont come out .I hate when i get stuck in my program and fgs i hate when i have to come to the forum because i can't figure it out alone AND GODAMMIT I HATE WHEN I FIGURE IT OUT ALONE AND THE PEOPLE OF THE FORUM HAVE A BETTER CODE THAN MINE...all the work lost

so...i guess i'm already quiting programing...since feb i started coming to this forum to take my fist miserable steps of "how stuff works" and now after a high school course in java , and a few monsths of dedicated "studies" in GE/GM i can see that i still smaller than ever...no matter how much i learn, i'll find out that computer studies is big as i won't ever be...

jeez, how you guys WORK like this..?

so after i fininsh my last game(one or 2 weeks more)i'll take a loooong vacation far from programing...find a easier hobby...

falow! :(

I hear you hobgoblin.

Programming is one of the most intensive mental tasks you can do.

It can be really frustrating sometimes to come up with solutions. Often the best thing to do is just walk away. Sleep. Let your brain process the problem.

I do my best programming in the first hour of the morning. After that my brain is only strong enough for everyday life.

Don't forget though - GE is getter better all the time. If there is something that is hard to do in a game there is a good chance that GE will soon have an Event/Action to make it happen without too much thinking. :-)

PS

When you get stuck, ask as many questions as you want on the forum. Everyone here is more than happy to help. Sometimes it's easier for someone outside of the project to see the simplest solution.
