Ok, i got the shooting thing down. thanks to DilloDude! much appreciated!

well now i have this problem when i shoot, when i hit left ctrl my ship fires. but my shots come appear out of mid-air! how do i fix this?

when you do create actor (shot), do create actor relative to creator 'yes'.
then it will come out of the ship.

Have you tried to change x and y value in the create actor window?

well this is really wierd.
