- iPhone resolution: 320x480
- iPhone 4 resolution: 640x960
- iPad resolution: 1024x768
(Google is your friend.)

Please be more specific as to what you mean by "sizes of images, button, actors".
Are you referring to proportions? The size of your actor is yours to choose on an entirely free basis.
I'm sure you will come up with the right sizes according to the resolution you select. It's not hard.

I doubt the existence of .wvm as a music file type, my guess is that you mean .wmv, which stands for "Windows Media Video". The audio equivalent would be .wma ("Windows Media Audio"). Both cannot be used in Game Editor.
Recommendations for
- Sound effects: .wav
- Background Music: .mid .ogg .it

Yes, the iPhone 4 has the same screen size and also supports older iPhone resolutions, but it has a retina display, meaning that each pixel has again been divided into 4 smaller pixels, leading to a resolution 4 times bigger than the original one (2 times in each direction). The pixels are so small they are barely visible by human eyes. That is why the screen size appears to be the same.
