Well, the enemy should be the other player? :?
Or both players can take down one enemy. that would be cool:)

I think the white status bar doesnt blend with the dark graphics.

Yeah, the final status bar has yet to designed, the white one is purely functional for the pre-beta testing.

The gfx look excellent, makes me wish that I hadn't got rid of my smartphone, I might just have to get a spare from the cupboard just to be able to play this :)

Thanks for the compliment! :D
You can always use the Smarthone emulator that is free available for download at Micro$oft ;)

Still needs alot of work though:

For the world map:
The holes of the Pumpkin have to glow.
The vulcano must have a glowing lava effect.
The Ghosts have to fly around the castle.
The crab has to wink its eyes and opens/closes it's claws.
The smoke/fog muse be animated as well as the clouds.
An water effect againt the shores of the islands.
The stars have to shine.

and much, much more, just to bring this part to life.
Not to mention that there must be an animation on the map when going a level up.

Keep you guys updated!

Hi Game a Gogo,

I downloaded the 2 files at Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=C62D54A5-183A-4A1E-A7E2-CC500ED1F19A&displaylang=en

efp.msi and V1Emulator.zip.
Dont forget to download the Virtual Machine Network Driver for Microsoft Device Emulator

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=DC8332D6-565F-4A57-BE8C-1D4718D3AF65&displaylang=en

Otherwise it wont work.

Than run it, and it works!

Dragon represents player 1. Graphics for characters and players isn't
done... yet... And I had to change same basic concept things because my
friend suposed to draw graphics, but he was slow (because he is working
on his first picture-book) so I've decided to create all graphic myself.

Dragon is controled with mouse (I've made it to create some kind of
friction/acceleration to make moves more realistic). Second player should
be controled by keyboard.

Parallax graphics - lots of different layers moving in different speed so
you get 3D-like effect. Clouds, Mountains, trees, grass all move at
different speeds. Largest plants are set in front of player to get more
Z-depth feel.

I've made enemy bullets with same basic AI (bullets predict where will
player go + some randomization so they won't be perfect), but I yet have
to think who will be enemy and draw them :P

What CAD programs are you using? I'm looking for some kind of terrain generator to create tiles for my 2d rpg but no such like other than spending hours using VUE esprit. And what are you using for modelling?

I used Terragen and some painting with tablet in Photoshop to make mountains.
