Sonic the hedgehog loop physics?

Hi all :)
Once again, I require some assistance.
For my new game, Crimson Chronicles, I would love it if there was some way to have working physics for loops - you know, like in the
Sonic the Hedgehog games. If there is a code for this, I would be EXTREMELY happy :D

The sprites for the loops tend to be in segments (possibly for the code to work in the original game)
