Oh and any comments about the weapons and power ups like the rockets would be helpful.
If you don't get any upgrades, try again because the big ones randomly put stuff out. :)

I'm not too bad at programming but I'm too stupid to figure out how to do screen shots.

Ps anyone know a site where to get good sound files that are in a format supported by game editor? :?

.wav is good for sound effects,
.ogg or .mid is more recommendable for music.
To get sound effects, I'd try [url]findsounds.com[/url]. You can find almost any sound there.
As for music... I don't know any good music site (except typing "music" in google and see what happens). But I started a "random music dump" thread in the Game art section and it's growing. Maybe you'll find something there you might like.

Thanks for the tips on the sound effects.

I have just finished adding cluster missiles successfully, complete with a control to set where they explode. :)
Now that i have two secondary weapons i have weapon tabs at the top of the screen and you can select weapon using the number keys.
Ill be sure to post it soon.

I think ill put in some temporary "cheats" just so you can try the secondary weapons upgraded to level 5.

I am really happy with my progress. I have been working around the clock (almost) to get the next version out.
This has weapon tabs and selectable secondary weapons (rockets and the new cluster missiles) :D
it also has missile detonation range arrows at the side of the screen to let you decide where the cluster missiles explode!
Level two and a new alien (crabbface i like to call them) have been finished and integrated (hopefully) :?

It also has a new look for the menu as well as a help button.
to play level two you need to finish level one but i have included the '.dat' file that lets you start on level two.
It still has the cheats for testing the full arsenal.

Please post and give me feedback.
I'm still at strife about how much health to start you with and the levels *may* be a bit too hard.
Once again your feedback shapes my game and is necessary for its completion.

Right ill try to make the next game a little easier.
How do i make it easier?
should i have less bad guys on the screen a a time?
Maybe I need to introduce a bad guy that is guaranteed to give you something.

well in my next version i bumped the chance of getting weapons up ( i hope you got some)
I increased the lives to three ( which took a while due to a silly glitch :x )
and destroyed some bad guys that were in difficult places.
I will post the next version when i have fusion missiles, level 3 (come in peace, leave in pieces) and extra life pickups. :twisted:

Did anyone find it hard to hit your opponents?
I may decrease the y movement for the big ones.

I could clock it without dying but maybe thats 'cause i made it :mrgreen:

I'm trying to think of a new name for my game thats actually original!
I would really appreciate a new name.

Hmmm.... Alien sky is already taken
Shell-enclosed, globular, bug eyed, tentacle covered, large jawed, things from space?? Might not catch on!!
