Okay, I'm kind of new here but I was wondering: which resolution is the most popular amongst platforms and what is the most poular orientation (long ways up and down or long ways left to right)?

Oh, and: can the game be streched to fit the screens of all platforms or is does the game only run in the resolution it was designed for?

The 240x320 resolution is very popular for the Pocket PC.
Stretch the screen at run time is a very expensive task, so, you need to build your game to the specify target resolution.

pocket pc games are usually up an' down.
that way you do not have to hold it sideways.
