O.K. so I just finished the first version of my character, Yavin(Funny name, Right?)
I havn't animated him yet, but I'm going to use him in a game. So please don't use him in any public games you make, unless you ask me first.
Also I don't mind any crits you guys have. It helps me to learn
SuperSonic
PS: If you use this character in your public games without asking me first, BAAAAAD things will happen to your computer

Thanks everyone
I'm working on animating him today, but so far I've only gotten his arm to turn a little
I am probably going to change his outfit later on but I kinda like this one
Again thanks

does anyone know any tips or tricks when it comes to animating your characters(I'm using graphics gale by the way) or would it be easy for me to just have someone animate it for me.
Either way, I'm going to animate him myself soon enough, it's just HARD
Anyways I gotta keep working and I'll update you guys every now and then

Animating is hard. You shuld have multiple layers, one for the arms, one for the legs, one for the body, and one for the head. If you can, (and if you have 2 arms), make both arms and legs ALL in different layers. Then use a rotation tool to make his arms bend :3

Yes, animating is very very hard comparing to the 1st draw.
You may use Flash for animating.
Graphic Gales, it looks easy but, it's still hard and takes so much time.
Because you have to redraw every frame.
and it's alomost impossible to have the high detail with Graphic Gales.
For animating cost, it is also pretty high.
For one movement 8 frams, it can cost you for USD$15.
and each animation, will cost you for USD$10-15
So, if you main character have jump, walk, stab, run, extra power, slide, dask, damage, die, and etc.
It can cost you almost USD$80-100.
So, I suggest you to study Flash in this matter. It can help you a lot.`

Thanx, everyone
So Chai, you say I should use flash?

I just need to know how much it costs(if it has a price)

Cus right now, I'm on a two dollar budget
