hello i have just today downloaded GE trial version as im looking for a really intuitive application that allows me to build prototypes of games i have designed. the type of game i want to 'test' with GE is a Missile Command type of game , can any of you kind 'veterans' share your views on whether GE is upto this kind of game ? a walkthrough would be magic if anyone wants to show off their skills im sure others could benefit. i learn most from watching or following an example.

best regards

Bazzman

well GE is a very good piece of software and im sure its up to producing most games you desire, there are many tutorials on the software if you click on help then "getting started" and start from those tutorials. if you ever need help with your games there are many people here willing to help out.

Missile command would be a very easy game to make in GE... Honestly, anything from the original Nintendo system on back (atari, intelevision, etc.) can be duplicated in GE by a pretty novice user (thats me).
If you are looking for someone to do it for you, that may be a different story... I don't know if the scripting aspect intimidates you, but I have absolutely no programming experience, and have developed a pretty decent understanding of GE scripting in less then two months of playing around with it... and anytime I get stumped, there is a gang of regulars on this forum who are always eager to help me out. Another plus is the GE author himself is directly involved in people's problems through this forum, and it doesn't get any better then that.
