Super Smash Bros. for iPhone (WIP) (other help appreciated)

I know... Youve heard it hundreds of times before... "lets use GE to make a super smash bros game!" and then it never gets farther then the planning part.

well I am here to tell you that I have started work on Super Smash Bros. for iPhone. And i am determined to finish it.

intresting! XD But wouldn't it be illegal? :P

Testing.. AWESOME! :D

had to do a lot though xD Had to move the files in the group folder to the original xD Then edit the mouseButtonup event to load the ged instead of the .dat :3 But dude pretty sweet :D

Thanks for all the positive feedback!

So can anyone see if they can help me work on some of the stuff i wrote in the first post? Ill probably be able to do the mario fludd b-down but the b-up thing is going to be difficult

I will accept people's character submissions. if you want a particular character to be in it, you have to make all of the animations and put them in the filmstrip format game editor uses. Please make animations for both left and right. (ie character walking left AND character walking right) All of the animations means:
stand
walk/run
taunt
jump
doublejump
hang
A ( if A has a combo attack, make seperate animations for each part of the combo)
A side
A Up
A Down
A aerial
A aerial side
A aerial up
A aerial down
B
B side
B up
B down

I am already adding all of the characters from Brawl and melee in so you dont have to request those characters

I may be able to help with the coding problems you wrote in the first post. I'll download the source and see what I can do :D

hey supersonic, i think i figured out how to do the b-up, but its a bit complicated. so ill add an animation finish for the jump part of the b-up, and ill set a variable for when an enemy is colliding. each time an enemy is colliding when the animation is finished, hell repeat the animation up punch until it reaches six times.

ill work on it at school tomorrow

another update! check first post for download links

I really need some help in making this guys. even if its just taking a sprite sheet of a character and making filmstrip animations of all of his attacks, or getting sound and converting it to geapp friendly sound (because some sound crashes geapp no matter what format its in). I really am going to need help on this project.

I am working on the rest of mario's moves but can someone please try to do the code for the custom stage builder from brawl?

EDIT: new update. mario is now 90% finished and a new stage has been added

i have almost completed all of mario's moves. i am not uploading the latest one to my dropbox, though until I know that icl has downloaded the on currently on there so he can help me make the zoom feature work better on the iPhone.

I am looking for someone who can program the computer players, and who can make them harder as you move the difficulty level up. (if youve played super smash bros, theres 9 levels, (1 being the easiest and 9 being the hardest)
If someone could help program the computer players, it would really be helpful in getting this project actually finished

Im really surprised how not many people have jumped in to help... This guy had nothing, not even a demo, and he still got a ton of help and suggestions. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8831 regardless, im going to continue making the game but i am still honestly surprised.
this game is really going to take a while without other programmers.
