Ok here is how it works , when you 1st press game mode all you have is a start button.Mouse Click on the start button and the game starts you control the man and you jump over barrels.

Controls

left and right arrow= move left and right
Spacebar = jump


Now at any point in the game ,mouse click on the start button and the game will reload . There is no need to exit the GED to startover and I did not use loadGame command ethier. If anyone would like me to explain the method further just ask.
