Hello guys! Hopefully you've all played pokemon during your childhood! As the title states, I'm in a pokemon mood right now, and so this topic obviously has something to do with pokemon. I don't know if I should post stuff like this more often, but I decided not to.
So... What's your favorite and least favorite pokemon? (I could already guess Jolt's favourite. )

Mine:

Faves:
#1: Swampert (Immune to thunder, looks cool, and earthquake can destroy anything! My favourite starter!)
#2: Excadrill (Small, but deals large damage. Also I like how nasty it looks.)
#3: Shuckle (Could become the strongest pokemon with power trick and defense boosts...)
#4: Hydreigon (Really strong, and looks like a minecraft wither.)
#5: Charmander (My first starter, ever.)

Worst:
#1: Unown (Come on, who likes this pokemon. It only learns hidden power, a move that every pokemon can learn. You kidding me Alph Ruins?)
#2: Delibird (Pathetic, especially because of its signature move. I mean present is one of the worst attacks in existence.)
#3: Luvdisc (Weak, pink, and disgusting)
#4: Sunkern (Worst stats for what? A bad evolution! (Magikarp is not in there because it doesn't have a bad evolution.))
#5: Slaking (Ok, I have to admit, it's probably the strongest non legendary, but the ability traunt makes it one of the weakest.)

Sorry if I offended you, but seriously, it's useless and pointless to collect. xD(No offense.)
Why do you like it? :P

I have never played Pokemon.
:(
I have a Game Boy Advance and DS, though. What game should I get?

It depends on what you like to play.
I would tell you to get MOTHER 3 no matter what, but it was never released outside of Japan, although there is an unofficial translation available.

I don't know. Unown is just a cool collectable to me. Also, I don't think it is that bad.

I don't know what my least favorite are, but here are my favorite six,
- The Squirtle Line, they are all equal to me in liking.
- The Turtwig Line
- Gyarados
- Lucario
- Steelix
- Raichu (Poor Raichu will never get glory because of Pikachu, even though it is better.

Mother 3 is fantastic, you should try it. xD
About the pokemon games: I'd advise you start playing with the first generations of pokemon to have a taste of pokemon, FireRed or LeafGreen. You can also starting with Crystal or Emerald. (My personal favourite is Pokemon Emerald of all pokemon games.). Those are all in GBA, but you could also insert the cartridge in the DS. (If it has a slot.) For a DS game, you could start with Pokemon Platinum. I also loved Pokemon Platinum. :)

Well the Unown was fun to collect, but it's pretty pointless to do so (I got 15, but when I found it was pointless, I stopped lol.) Hopefully Unown will become more worth to collect. :P
About the favorites: Wow, that's interesting picks. I used Turtwig in Pearl too, and I liked using it. xD
I wanted to put Lucario and Gyarados too, but I just decided to put 5.
P.S: Yeah, poor Raichu. :(

Yes, the pokemon are crap, but the storyline and battle styles aren't that bad.
EDIT: Quote fixes.

In terms of the list of favorite to least favorite, here is mine.

- Pokemon Platinum (I really liked everything I could do after the game)
- Pokemon Sapphire
- Pokemon Y (This would be higher, but there isn't much to do after the game, really disappointed me.
- Pokemon LeafGreen
- Pokemon Gold/Silver (Not that they are bad games, but I just liked all the others more)
- Pokemon Diamond (Didn't beat it actually, I did the ol' train your starter to death, forget the others, I can't get past the Elite Four, so I just gave up, which is why this is low, even though Platinum would be basically the same)
- Pokemon Others (Haven't played 5th gen, or the Gold/Silver remakes)

Platinum and Emerald are my personal faves too. I also like some of the spin-offs like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (Best of them all, for me.), Pokemon Ranger, Pokemon Pinball (Nostalgia), Pokemon Trading Game (I played it in visual boy advance), and Pokemon Trozei were good. Pokemon Gold/Silver was cool because its story was longer than the others, and 16 gyms!!! LeafGreen and FireRed were the first versions I've played, and it brings back nostalgia...
I haven't played gen 6 yet and the gold/silver remakes yet though. :(

You know what would be awesome?
A fully open-world, non-linear Pokémon game, set in the entire goddamn world.
Where you can do whatever the arse you want, with a completely optional main storyline. much like TES

It's obviously never going to happen, but I can dream, can't I?
