hmmm i agree that more iphone releases especially commercial ones would bump the popularity of GE.
and if i remember correctly GM cant export to iphones or phones of any kind let alone the last time i looked at it like 2 yrs. ago you couldn't even really use the games you made because their GM format for completed games only works on their websites loader with no workaround(unless thats been changed?).. So more games on iphones released here would already give GE a edge on GM considering their restricted to their site.

Lol game maker will own. Although I'm definitely a Linux person, the moderate GM games beat up the best games around here, no offense people.

Ok no game on GameMaker is better than winterblast 1,2, or remax . Its a full commercial game developed by a very talented indivual bee-ant . We do not go to your website and spam it. We ask for the same respect in return.

Sorry cpdesign, I think you have it wrong, GE beats GM to us. To you guys GM beats GE. You are GM so stay there and quit spamming

and it starts. GM will have better games for the simple reason it attracts everyone. While GE have a very limited community of new comers (Good programmers don't post often or are simply gone).
There's no program better than the other, get that idea out of your heads. It's a tool and they both create games, how one can be better than the other? It depends on the way you prefer making games.
GM is more noob-friendly than GE, making it more popular. If you can master GE or GM, you can make equally great games.

it all depends on how commied you are, and how good your ideas are.

i asked my programming teacher (im a freshman) if we could get ge but she said that we may get gm

For me, GE is the best of the best.
That's what I know, That's enough for me.

The reason that GE is better.,
1. Can export to Windows Mobile
2. Can export to Iphone
3. Easy to use

What others say , I do not mind.
I can make MONEY from GE.
That should be good enough.
