What would you think about a website where everybody can upload games, made with GE, rate them and comment them? You would be able to find games easier to look for games with some certain tags, or you can look for the top rated of most played games.


You can share your games with the whole world, you give your name a title, some tags to make people easier finding your game, choose the genre, tell the site if it is a full game, a demo of just an example and which format it is (GED+Data, Windows, Linux, etc.).


makslane, I also would like to now your opinion about this.

I think this would be a great idea! this way no 1's games will get bumped down by people asking questions

I'm working on it. I'm writing it in PHP. You can see in my first post here, what I have already done and what I'm going to do.

Everybody can help me. Maybe you are able to make better graphics than me (for example a rating star), or you can write a better style in CSS.

You can do this:
graphics:
- make a better rating star (should be 8x8)
- make a better "featured" graphic, see example to see where it will be placed later
logo:
- make a logo for the site, you should ask makslane for the text of maybe he wants make one himself of just want to use the pacman logo
style:
- write a style in CSS for inputs, tabs and other things

Features of messaging other members and commenting games have got a low priority. I think, you can discuss games here in this forum, but if you really want these features, tell me and I will try to make these, too.

Can't you already do that on the forums?
But it would be kinda cool... Sort of like CMG or Armor Games or those other online game sites.

You can talk here, but can you rate them with 1,2, 3, 4 or 5 stars? Can you filter all the games to find platformers only or can you just find the top rated games? I think, no.

Here is some new graphics for the featured banner if you want to use them. As far as the stars go, given the size, your's look fine to me. Don't see anyway they could be improved at that size.

Nice idea but what about spammers?

Perhaps every account could upload just 1 game per day until they have 4 games or something.

Yes, make sure there is a proper banning control.
