Enemy Animation Determined by Movement???

How do you make it so that the direction an enemy moves determines
its animation???

ex.enemy jumps/goes up animation is jump/goes up.

make a key down when you press space to change animations to a jumping animation

lets say when the ennemy jumps, just change the animatio also...
