Checking sounds

Hello everyone!
I have a question: is it possible to check if sound is playing at the moment.
I have an actor that causes sond when colliding player. It sounds like crap! :( But if it sounds when other sound isn't playing it would be excelent.
Give me the answer please!

You can only stop the sound channel, but can't check.
Try increase the maximum number of simultaneous sounds in the Game Properties panel.

Oh! That's bad...
Can you give me other advice? I need to hear full sound until it ends before I play new one... How to separate them? Using variables or how?
I've got stuck here... :(

You can use a timer with the same sound duration
