I see it now, I must have passed over it, I don't know how I kept skipping it.
Looks like it is monsterbrain vs tzoli round 2.

tzoli, I am a bit confused, is your game supposed to be a race of something, also, I didn't get what the power-ups were exactly doing to help someone out. I couldn't get player ones power-ups to work with the number pad on my dad's mouse, or the number keys, and I don't have a number pad on the laptop. Also, the player can get stuck in the arrow as you will see below, kind of confused me. It was also very short, if I am correct where the end is. Also, the only opposite things come when one player can go down and one gos up for a bit. Then it evens back out. I get one has a light arrow and the other has shadow powers, but still. Again, I don't get how they help, then again, I only got to use the cloud of darkness and shadow from player 2, and I didn't see, or at least didn't notice anything. There was no real title to this game, no music, no sound, and the graphics could have been better.
monsterbrain, I do really like the fact there is a storyline to this game. I have never played 'vessel' though. The graphics are nice, and just to make sure, all of these are yours, correct. I like that you added music and sound. Also, nice title, went with story well. The game was fun, I always like the followmouse type games. It was short as you said, but if you decide to continue it, then the ending was a nice transition to a continuation. Nice animations too. There were some bugs. For one, if you point the cannon at one direction, as long as you go 180 degrees in the direction down, then you can fire the water or fire the opposite direction the cannon points, as you will see below. Also, at the end, there is two bugs. One is after you finish everything you have to do at the last part, the thing doesn't go up when you go on it with both. Another is that if one goes on, it goes up and sometimes the person falls off, meaning no one is on it, or one is on it, but then it goes to the ending transition anyway. The ending freaked me out, surprised me, I thought maybe they would die, or stop the tremors somehow.

1. I forgot the main goal: The main goal is to control the 3 altars.
2. Beign stuck there is impossible
3. I'm sorry but I'm not sure if I can change the keys... I will try.
4. I'm sure that I put music in the game. Anyways It bugged out as I see...

Edit: The complimed version doesn't play it.
I'M not sure if i will make a game for the next one... This was a complete failure.
You could delete the entry.

Its fine tzoli. The arrow doesn't keep you stuck there, its just the fact that you are staying there or falling through slowly. Don't let this get you down. If you want, you can check it out, and see if you did add music. If you did, I will let you revise your game to see what happened, and then I will also let you change controls if you want. I will wait to announce winner until that happens. Also, I will get second player to join me in playing it.

I've checked and recomplimed. The music doesn't play in the compimed version :S
This game has a lot of trouble with it... At half of the development onescreen started flickering for no reason. At the 3/4 the other screen did the same. 7/8 The fireballs didn't change the animation altough there was perfect code for it.
*Edit*:Oooops... Sorry! I uploaded a really wrong version. I didn't see that it complimes to an other directory. I'm really sorry.

The correct version is aviable at the link that was mentioned before.

Plus: The controls are changed to:
- Shield
. Radar
, Faster movement
\ - Lightcover
` Light bolt
Edit: and again. firebolts and Light bolts don't show up in the actual game

Okay, the tournament of this month, March, had a great theme, anti-worlds. Only two entered, monsterbrain and tzoli. I wish I entered, but I lost my motivation for making games this month. It was monsterbrain vs. tzoli round 2.
The winner of this month was..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
The person who successfully defended their title from last month, MONSTERBRAIN.
I didn't get to judge the first tournament to know the scores, but I can say, monsterbrain, you truly earned it. You score resulted in a A- game (percentage wise), very good. Yours also had the second highest percentage ever, only second to Jagmaster's entry in the August tournament. While there were some bugs, it was fun. There is one major problem in this game, and that is it is short. Like how I explained it last month, your game is a great meal, but you only get a sample. We all want more.
tzoli, I haven't forgot about you. While you didn't win, it wasn't because your game was not good. You should have whipped up a title. Let me tell you, how I grade it is, if you make a title that doesn't fit your game, or you don't make a title, then you get 0 points, if you make a title that fits your game, you get 5 points, if you get a cool, fun, catchy title, that fits with your game, you get 10 points on the title section. Also, I get you didn't have the best art skills, but the little animations, and graphics hurt you, which is something that I wish I didn't have to grade you on, since I am not the best artist, but I can't judge one person because they are good, and then turn a blind eye at another. Lastly, any sound would have been fine, just sound when you jumped and bounced off trampolines, oh and when you gain a beacon. Lastly, there were a lot of bugs. You still collide and get stuck on arrow if you hit it. Also, sometimes, things don't appear. Also, I have no idea what the radar should have done. The cloud of darkness should have appeared on the player one screen, as the light screen appeared on player 2. Lastly, I feel the light arrows and lava bolts would have been the only attack.
I do have a suggestion to the both of you. I kind of want to see the improvements you can do on these games. It would be nice, if you want to, if you do this, and just sit out the next tournament. You guys entered two in a row, and tzoli, you have entered all the tournaments that have had a contestant in it. This is up to you though, if you just made it to make it for a tournament, then go ahead, enter the next tournament if you want to, but if you actually see something in these games, then skip out on one or two tournaments, and then work on it, release it, and then we can see what you improved on.
Okay, next tournament starts on April 2nd, 2013, 3:20-9:00 p.m. This will be the year anniversary of my tournament, so I am going to re-release a theme from last April.
I want judges, and an award ceremony, so please join!!!!!!!!!!!!

The cloud of darkness shoul apear at player 2 screen to hide his position. I knew I couldn't win. I didn't have enough time + the game was more buggy than anything else...
Anyways. I wont work with split screen anymore. I just hate it now.
Congratulations monsterbrain.

Thanks NightOfHorror for your nice comments & critical observations and suggestions. I liked this theme, and well i was playing vessel too much (awesomely superb), i don't wonder its elements got into my game idea. The game started with just a Water & fire & steam Test. Since the test went good, i proceeded with the game (If it looked bad, i would've dropped the entire idea). So basically it just started from the prototype. Graphics were done quickly in GIMP, level after level, just replacing the Background, other stuffs, replacing the actor animations of 'Platform Template' actor. I wanted to create more levels, but couldn't think of any better ideas than reusing the same mechanics & logic over and over again (which, i fear might get boring, maybe). Bugs were expected ones, 180 degree was restricted to reduce number of images, last level's lift mechanism was an headache.
Tzoli's game was , as NOH has said, i've played it and played around much, but couldn't get any idea regarding the game or gameplay (I liked the powers of fully blackout and fully white, which i've planned once for a player game!). This has happened to me too. I made a game for many days, playtesting every way, tweaking each bit and everything made sense. But when i got someone to actually play it, he just sit there, and i was like "Just play like this or that, its meant for this". And they goes like, oh that's what you meant, nobody will get it except you... Although you cannot make every others understand what your game is, but you could provide enough basic stuff to get them to start.

It was fun making it, shaping itself into something of a playable stuff (although too short), but was a bit disappointed not much contestants entered so that i could have a taste of what other's perspective are ...
I'm not sure whether i would try for another gamejam in future(Bit out of time right now). if things turns out well...we'll see..

Great job you guys!
Monsterbrain, I'm a big fan of Vessel. I just completed that game about a week ago, as a matter of fact! With that said- it was fun to re-live some of that mechanic again, so I really enjoyed your game!
tzoli, I thought the splitscreen concept was interesting (I played the game by myself, it was fun lol).

Thanks JagMaster ... I completed vessel too, was playing so slowly that i could play that for days and days ...(took about one month to complete it). Maybe that was the driving force behind this
