Hello people.

I'm starting to get the hang of this program. but my problem is that there is a lack of good tutorials made for GE.

What I mean, out of no disrespect of any one who's work harder and longer on GE, or to name anyone, but there seem to be a confusing mix of Tuts that are incomplete, poor instructions or just hard to fallow. :?
However, there are a lot of good video, but are to far in advance for me to follow just yet..

For a beginner, what would you suggest the best way for me to learn this program? could anybody show me something that worked really well for them, or maybe is there a good noob to pro guild for this program.

I would also like to come up with exercise projects. to better learn GE.

Thank you for your time.

Couple years ago I wanted to make a tutorial that would bring a Newbie that never used the program to a pretty decent programmer. I had started this using HTML. I'm going to do this again!
EDIT: If I can find a good html page editor...

I have one
It's called Web Page Maker, it have a 15-day trial
It's more a drag-and-drop than html page editor, but anyways...

Seems to be the perfect tool! Features what I expect from a web page editor and it fits perfectly as I haven't programmed in html in a while!
I also won't have to worry about the 15 days trial

@YouBob: I have some really good video tutorial ideas but I don't have a mic to record them. But until then, what do you specifically want to learn about GE? Once I get a mic, I might be able to upload some tutorials for you

It's about Order!

You see I understand the basic well. Just That I don't know what to do with that information, for as how to use it to make a game. What I need for starters is just a tutorial that covers all of the basics, and maybe with a part two write a game.

I learn best by example.
If you want to do a tutorial on making an game, do an mario tutorial; on how to make a super mario bros game....

If you do write a tutorial(either video or text) please make sure you have proof read it under the idea that this is what the every day noob is going to be viewing.

In Video Tutorials, this is very very important! Make sure that it's in HD 720 or full HD 1080.. Because if there is any text in that video the user must be able to see it. With your new mic, make sure you tell the viewer exactly where are you going to click, which button you just press, and what is your plan with this part of the video.

And lastly, your (in youtube) video description. It must contain the script data or an link where you can download it. Maybe ever where you can download the file you just created in GE..

The youtube Description thing is just to shut up all of those people who view your video and can't read or write. But It all helps me to better learn this program...

Also, never stop making tutorials. That might be a tall order, but if you discovery something new, you might want to share it on youtube, and show people how to use the function on GE..

So anything that you might know about GE Share it on Youtube With some sort of order on it. Like go for what is fairly easy to something that is hard(on later videos). Make sure that your videos are clear and you don't giddier around the whole thing.. Like if you make a lot of mistakes in your video don't post it! Good videos Get strength to the point with easy. Make sure that your videos are in HD, and nothing less.

If you don't know how to make your videos in HD, I can show you, on Window movie maker..... Well only if you have windows XP other wise you should be safe on vita or 7. And Since I run Linux, I can only show you the Plug-in.

I hope that Covers it...

Take care and happy game making

Thanx youbob :P
I'll probably upload a text tutorial today if I can. The topic will be on creating a light effect in GE. It's a basic technique but it is very effective in games. Especially dramatic ones :D
